FAQs

How many guests does each tent hold?

Tents hold a maximum of 4 people. Maximum occupancy noncompliance will result in eviction.  There must be a least one person 18 and older actually staying in each tent reserved.

How do we get to and from our tent?

A watercraft (single kayak, two person kayak or raft) is provided with the tent rental and can be used to transport people and gear to the tent.

Are restrooms available?

Restrooms are available onshore at Treasure Island Park.  There are no showers at the camp site.

Is there someone onsite if we need assistance?

No; however, campers are provided the onsite coordinator’s contact info if you should have any concerns.

What should I bring?

We tell customers to bring sunscreen, plenty of water, a water- tight bag for phone/keys and a trash bag to ensure nothing leaves your boat/tent and goes into the beautiful river. Feel free to bring meals and snacks.  We also suggest bug spray and flash lights.

What should I wear?

For your stay on the river you should wear clothes that you do not mind getting muddy or wet.  Gym shoes, water shoes or sandals make for good footwear; flip flops tend to float downstream.  Please plan to get wet during your stay.

Can I bring a cooler?

You may bring coolers on the river as our Ohio summers can be hot and humid. No Styrofoam coolers permitted. Alcohol is NOT permitted.

Are there grills or fire pits available for use?

We have two grills located next to the shelter for you to use. Please bring charcoal if you plan to grill out.
